CINEMA

The Cinema

Crunches of popcorn,
Symphony of cellophane.
Possessive hands,
entwine couples.
Togetherness fused
in flashbacks.
Intermission sustains,
Breathlessness..

Rejuvenated arms

continue body language.

Linguistics interrupted

as lights come on.

Blouses ruffled

Feelings cancelled.

Can we ask

for cinemas

Lingering,

in darkness and music.

Fleeting moments

of love and happiness

For living in

Cinemas!
